There was a good turnout of 172 people on the night and fun was had by all. Congratulations must go to Mairead on this achievement and also a big thank you for all the hard work she put in and for doing such a good job on the organisation and running of the evening. Also, thank you to her children who helped with the sale of the raffle tickets throughout the evening. Thanks to Ray as well who spoke on the night and filled everyone in on what the Rotary Club is all about and also invited anyone who wishes to come and join us!
Rotary Secretary Katherine Syme

Thank you friends, I enjoyed the Rotary luncheon with you very much, and would love to come back to Tokyo. This is the 'memory tree,' standing at the back of Garvey's Supervalu. Many people going shopping paused on their way and filled out cards with the names of loved ones to be remembered. In the end hundreds of such cards adorned the tree. Standing in front of it, left to right, are Rotarians Tony Buckett, Sophie Murphy, President Máiréad de Staic and Briain de Staic.

President’s Dinner

A Festive Occasion

On Friday, November 7th, 2008 our esteemed past president, Briain de Staic, invited the club to a glorious dinner at Lord Baker’s restaurant.
